On 10th of July 2014 a local kindergarten visited the Airbus Group facilities in Ottobrunn, near Munich.
25 kids had a complete tour of the site, getting in touch with various aeronautical and technical basics. Airbus Group Innovations employees presented models of different air- and spacecraft and explained the main differences between those.
The kids then folded their own paper planes and joined a virtual one in a journey through the Austrian Alps. A 2D projection and a 3D immersive flight in the Airbus Group Innovations Virtual Reality laboratory helped them to fully understand the difference between a two- and a three-dimensional object.
